For an established international freight forwarding and logistics organization, we are looking for an experienced Managing Director – Singapore to take overall responsibility for its operations and further development in this strategically important market.
The company has a strong and profitable presence in Singapore, with established Air and Ocean Freight operations, warehousing capabilities and a substantial locally controlled customer base.
This senior leadership position requires an experienced freight forwarding executive who combines strong knowledge of the Singapore market with commercial expertise, operational understanding and proven P&L responsibility.
Your Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the Singapore organization and its business performance
- Full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, profitability and sustainable growth
- Development and execution of the commercial strategy for the Singapore market
- Further development of the Air and Ocean Freight business
- Identification and realization of new business opportunities
- Expansion of existing customer relationships and acquisition of new strategic accounts
- Further strengthening of the locally controlled business and customer portfolio
- Leadership, motivation and development of the local management and operational teams
- Oversight of freight forwarding and warehousing activities
- Continuous improvement of organizational structures and operational performance
- Close cooperation with regional and international management
- Representation of the company towards customers, business partners and other key stakeholders
Your Profile
- Several years of senior management experience within international freight forwarding and logistics
- Proven experience in a Managing Director, Country Manager or comparable senior leadership role
- Strong knowledge of the Singapore freight forwarding and logistics market
- Proven P&L responsibility and strong commercial acumen
- Sound experience in Air and Ocean Freight
- Strong understanding of locally controlled business and customer development
- Proven ability to develop business and identify new growth opportunities
- Established network within the Singapore logistics and forwarding community
- Entrepreneurial and commercially driven mindset
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to combine strategic thinking with a hands-on understanding of operations
- International experience and the ability to work effectively within a global organization
