For an internationally operating company in the freight forwarding and logistics industry, we are looking for an experienced leader to take responsibility for an established branch in Frankfurt am Main and drive its further development with an entrepreneurial mindset, strong commercial focus and a high level of market presence.
Building on an experienced team and established structures, this position offers the opportunity to further strengthen the existing business while creating new momentum for profitable growth. The key area of expertise is Air Freight, complemented by a strong commercial understanding of Ocean Freight.
Your Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the management and further development of the Frankfurt branch
- Responsibility for revenue, profitability and sustainable growth
- Development and implementation of the commercial strategy for the branch
- Active acquisition of new customers and strategic development of existing customer relationships
- Leveraging your own professional network to generate additional business opportunities
- Identifying market opportunities and converting them into sustainable and profitable business
- Maintaining a strong presence in the market and personally engaging with key customers
- Close collaboration with the existing sales team
- Leadership and further development of the Air Freight, Ocean Freight and Sales teams
- Close cooperation with the existing team leaders while strengthening their individual responsibilities
- Providing clear direction and establishing common goals for the continued development of the branch
Your Profile
- Several years of experience in international freight forwarding, ideally with leadership responsibility
- Strong operational and commercial expertise in Air Freight
- Sound commercial understanding of Ocean Freight
- Proven experience in sales, business development and successful customer development
- A strong and established customer network within the relevant market
- Strong focus on revenue, profitability and growth
- Entrepreneurial mindset, initiative and sound decision-making skills
- Experience in leading and developing experienced teams
- Ability to engage, motivate and align different personalities around common goals
- Professional, respectful and clear communication style
- Strategic thinking combined with a strong hands-on approach
