On behalf of an internationally established European logistics and supply chain organization, we are currently conducting the search for an experienced Head of Sales China (m/f/d).

The company operates a global network and holds a strong position within the international air and ocean freight market. The role is aimed at an experienced sales leader with a strong background in the Chinese logistics market, strategic commercial understanding, and a proven track record within international forwarding and supply chain environments.

Based in Shanghai, this position reports directly to the Managing Director Greater China and carries overall commercial responsibility for the Chinese market while leading the further development of the national sales organization.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies for Mainland China
  • Lead and further develop the entire sales organization, including regional sales managers and national key account management
  • Drive revenue growth across Air Freight, Ocean Freight, and Contract Logistics activities
  • Oversee and further develop RFQ processes as well as customer-oriented transportation and supply chain solutions
  • Analyze market, customer, and industry developments and derive strategic actions accordingly
  • Build and strengthen sustainable customer relationships on a national and international level
  • Define meaningful KPIs and provide regular reporting to Country Management
  • Coach and develop regional sales teams and support the growth of future leaders within the organization
  • Collaborate closely with international branches, regions, and internal departments
  • Support receivables management and ensure clear commercial agreements with customers
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and operational standards

Your Profile

  • More than 10 years of experience within the international forwarding and logistics industry
  • Proven success in building, leading, and developing high-performing sales teams
  • Several years of leadership experience with budget and P&L responsibility
  • Deep understanding of the Chinese market, its business culture, and customer expectations
  • Experience cooperating with international regions and global networks
  • Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset combined with strong operational execution capabilities
  • University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Fluent English skills; additional European language skills are considered an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and modern sales management processes
