WCL is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead and further develop an established logistics operation in Penang, Malaysia.
This is a broad management role for a logistics professional who combines strong operational expertise with commercial awareness, leadership skills and a clear focus on customers and business development.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and further develop the branch and its local operations
- Ensure efficient day-to-day processes and a high standard of customer service
- Identify opportunities for business growth and further market development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
- Manage, motivate and develop the local team
- Monitor performance and continuously improve operational efficiency
- Coordinate effectively with regional management and internal functions
- Ensure adherence to relevant company and industry standards
Your Profile
- Solid professional experience within international freight forwarding and logistics
- Previous leadership experience in a branch or similar management role
- Strong understanding of international forwarding operations
- Commercially minded with an entrepreneurial and results-oriented approach
- Proven ability to develop business and customer relationships
- Confident leadership and strong communication skills
- Independent, hands-on and comfortable taking ownership
- Good understanding of the Malaysian logistics market
- Fluent English; additional languages are welcome
