On behalf of an internationally successful logistics service provider with a global network, we are seeking two commercially driven and market-oriented professionals to strategically develop the trade lane between Germany and Singapore/Malaysia.
One position will be based in Germany, while the second will be located in Singapore or Malaysia. Working as close counterparts, both Trade Lane Managers will jointly drive the continued growth of one of the most important trade corridors between Europe and Southeast Asia.

As part of its international growth strategy, the trade lane between Germany and Singapore/Malaysia is set for further strategic expansion.
Your Role
As Trade Lane Manager – Germany & Singapore / Malaysia, you will be responsible for the strategic and commercial development of transportation flows between Germany and Singapore/Malaysia. You will work closely with your counterpart based in Germany or Singapore/Malaysia, the international branch network, and the global Sales, Product, and Carrier Management teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing the trade lane strategy between Germany and Singapore/Malaysia
- Expanding transport volumes, revenue, and profitability across the trade lane
- Identifying new business opportunities and sustainable growth potential
- Supporting the international sales organization with customer projects, tenders, and business development initiatives
- Working closely with your Trade Lane Manager counterpart and international branch offices
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with airlines, ocean carriers, and strategic partners
- Monitoring market trends, pricing developments, and competitive activities
- Developing competitive air freight and ocean freight solutions
- Monitoring KPIs while continuously optimizing operational performance and profitability
- Serving as the key contact for customers and internal stakeholders on all trade lane-related matters
Your Profile
You have extensive experience within the international freight forwarding and logistics industry and understand the requirements of trade and transportation between Germany and Singapore/Malaysia. You combine commercial awareness with strong market knowledge, negotiation skills, and intercultural competence.
Ideally, you bring:
- Several years of experience in international freight forwarding or logistics
- Strong knowledge of the Germany–Singapore/Malaysia trade lane or significant experience in one of the respective markets
- Experience in air freight and/or ocean freight
- Experience in Trade Lane Management, Business Development, Key Account Management, or international sales
- Solid understanding of carrier and partner management
- Strong commercial mindset combined with analytical skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with an entrepreneurial approach
- International experience and strong intercultural competence
- Fluent English language skills; German is considered an advantage
- Willingness to travel internationally
