On behalf of an internationally operating logistics service provider with a global network, we are seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead an established branch office in Biberach and drive its continued strategic development.
Our client is one of the leading providers of international transport and logistics solutions. The Biberach branch currently has a strong focus on International Ocean Freight and is well established in the regional market. As part of its future growth strategy, the company plans to further expand the location by developing Air Freight activities, creating an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial leader to actively shape the branch’s next phase of growth.
Your Role
In this key leadership position, you will assume full operational and strategic responsibility for an established branch with a dedicated team of approximately 15 employees. While the current business is primarily focused on international ocean freight, you will also play an important role in supporting the future expansion of the branch’s air freight capabilities.
Your responsibilities include:
- Full responsibility for the operational and financial performance of the branch
- Leading, motivating, and developing the local team
- Ensuring efficient operational processes within the international ocean freight business
- Supporting the strategic development and future expansion of the branch’s Air Freight activities
- Expanding existing customer relationships while acquiring new business opportunities
- Responsibility for revenue, profitability, and budget targets
- Developing and implementing regional sales and growth strategies
- Identifying new market opportunities to further strengthen and diversify the branch’s service portfolio
- Monitoring market and competitor developments to identify new business opportunities
- Working closely with national and international offices as well as central support functions
- Promoting a collaborative, performance-driven, and customer-focused working environment
Your Profile
You are an experienced logistics leader who combines strong commercial awareness with excellent leadership skills and a customer-focused mindset.
Ideally, you bring:
- A degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification, or vocational training in Freight Forwarding and Logistics Services
- Several years of leadership experience within the international freight forwarding industry, ideally with a strong background in Ocean Freight
- Experience or a strong interest in developing additional business activities, particularly Air Freight
- Strong knowledge of international transport and logistics processes
- Experience in managing the commercial and operational performance of a branch or business unit
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- An entrepreneurial mindset combined with a structured and solution-oriented approach
- Professional proficiency in both German and English
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
