We are very pleased to welcome Philipp Baur as a new Partner at WCL. With Philipp joining our team, we are strengthening our presence in Switzerland while further expanding our international network with a highly experienced logistics professional who brings nearly four decades of industry expertise.
Philipp began his career with Atlantic Forwarding in Switzerland in 1989, where he held various senior management positions over more than 35 years, including General Manager Europe, Chief Operating Officer Europe and Business Development Director. During this time, he played a key role in the company’s international development and expansion across Europe and Asia.
His international leadership experience extends far beyond Switzerland. For nearly two decades, Philipp served as Director of the company’s French operations in Paris. He was also closely involved in strategic partnerships, international business development initiatives and market entries in India, Turkey and other growth markets.
Throughout his career, Philipp has built extensive expertise in ocean, air and rail freight, multimodal transport solutions and international supply chain management. Another key area of his expertise is transport law, liability and risk management. In this capacity, he has been involved in numerous international claims and legal proceedings, working closely with law firms, insurers and senior management teams.
At WCL, Philipp will focus particularly on the further development of our activities in the Swiss market. At the same time, he will contribute his international management experience and global network to projects across Europe and beyond.
He will support WCL clients in business development, market expansion, succession solutions and M&A projects within the logistics and supply chain industry.
With his combination of operational industry experience, strategic perspective and international market knowledge, Philipp is a valuable addition to WCL’s international Partner network.
