The company operates globally and is recognized for its expertise in handling complex cargo flows, including temperature-controlled shipments. The role is part of a growing reefer logistics setup supporting export activities across the Americas.
About the Role
The Procurement Specialist – Reefer (FCL Export) plays a key role in securing competitive and reliable ocean freight capacity for temperature-controlled shipments.
The position focuses on carrier and vendor management, rate negotiation and cost optimization, ensuring high service quality and operational reliability across reefer export flows.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Carrier Management
- Develop, maintain and negotiate rates with ocean carriers, NVOCCs and service providers
- Secure competitive FCL reefer export rates and space allocations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key ocean carriers
Vendor & Performance Management
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvements
- Identify and onboard suitable vendors in line with procurement strategy
- Support escalation handling for priority shipments
Cost Control & Optimization
- Analyze cost structures and identify optimization opportunities
- Maintain procurement data, tariffs and vendor information
- Ensure competitive and sustainable pricing structures
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations to ensure alignment with cargo requirements
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service and Finance
- Support overall reefer logistics development and service quality
Your Profile

- 2–5 years of experience in ocean freight procurement, freight forwarding or reefer logistics
- Strong understanding of temperature-controlled logistics and reefer equipment
- Experience in negotiating with carriers and logistics vendors
- Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate cost structures
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English
