About the Position
We are recruiting a key leadership role in regional sales for an internationally operating logistics and supply-chain organization. The position oversees the management and development of a team of Field Sales Specialists (Senior Business Development Executives) with a strong focus on Ocean Freight (approximately 75%).
The role combines operational sales leadership, performance management, team development and the strategic growth of a mid-sized customer portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Management
  • Leading and coaching a Field Sales team in the greater NYP area
  • Planning and steering targets in line with national sales objectives
  • Ensuring achievement of the Sales Index
  • Supporting the team in strategically important customer situations
  • Sales & Business Development
  • Expanding, maintaining and further developing a mid-sized customer portfolio
  • Creating tailored Ocean Freight solutions and value propositions
  • Analyzing regional market dynamics and shaping appropriate sales strategies
  • Collaboration & Operational Alignment
  • Close coordination with regional and national sales leadership
  • Supporting staffing, training, reviews and team capability development
  • Acting as a key interface with branch management and product leadership

Candidate Profile

  • Several years of leadership experience in freight forwarding sales
  • Deep expertise in Ocean Freight (Air Freight is a plus)
  • Strong leadership capabilities, coaching mindset and team orientation
  • Strategic and entrepreneurial thinking with a high degree of ownership
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Successful track record in acquiring and developing new business
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Willingness to travel within the region

Compensation & Benefits

  • Attractive compensation package (approx. USD 120,000–160,000 depending on experience)
