On behalf of an international logistics and freight forwarding organization, we are conducting a confidential search for a Branch Manager based in Seattle, WA, USA.

The company operates globally and is recognized for its structured approach to freight forwarding, combining operational excellence with strong customer service standards across air and ocean logistics.

About the Role

The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the Seattle branch, including operations, sales, customer service and financial management.

This role combines P&L responsibility, commercial leadership and operational oversight, requiring a hands-on management style as well as the ability to drive performance across all functional areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Financial Management

  • Full responsibility for branch profitability and financial performance
  • Preparation and execution of budgets in line with regional and corporate guidelines
  • Monitoring of costs, revenues and overall business performance

Sales & Customer Development

  • Drive local sales and marketing activities in coordination with regional leadership
  • Develop and expand customer relationships across all service areas
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality

Operations & Service Excellence

  • Oversee daily operations across air and ocean freight activities
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements and quality systems
  • Manage supplier relationships including carriers, trucking providers and local partners

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, develop and manage branch employees
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support staff development
  • Foster a performance-driven and collaborative working environment

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and industry standards (e.g. ISO, security and compliance requirements)
  • Oversee financial controls, audits and operational procedures

Your Profile

  • Several years of experience in freight forwarding (air & ocean), including management responsibility
  • Strong understanding of import/export operations and regulatory frameworks
  • Proven track record in branch management or team leadership
  • Commercial mindset with strong financial understanding (P&L responsibility)
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Structured, hands-on and results-oriented approach
