For an internationally active logistics and supply chain company, we are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically strong professional to manage the preparation, submission, and processing of U.S. duty drawback claims.
This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate data, timely claim filing, and maximizing potential duty recovery based on import and export activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and file duty drawback claims with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in full compliance with applicable regulations.
- Maintain structured, complete, and audit-ready documentation of all relevant import and export data.
- Analyze transaction data to identify potential duty recovery opportunities.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other partners to obtain required documentation.
- Monitor claim status, respond to CBP inquiries, and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure adherence to all legal requirements and internal compliance standards.
- Support audits, internal reviews, and quality checks.
- Contribute to process improvements to increase efficiency and expand recovery potential.
- Prepare reports, data analyses, and management updates on claim status, recovery volumes, and potential risks.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in customs documentation, trade compliance, or duty drawback.
- Solid understanding of U.S. Customs regulations (19 CFR) and duty drawback rules.
- Experience with drawback software or trade compliance systems preferred.
- Customs Broker License (LCB) preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of free trade agreements, HTS classification, and import/export documentation.
- Strong analytical skills, structured working style, and high attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
