WCL expand their Global Network

WCL continues to expand their Global Network

In 2013 WCL successfully established five new WCL Representation Offices, including Bremen, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, New York (Manhattan) and Vancouver. The global network has gained additional support and expertise by its new Representatives Guenter Kuhberg (Bremen), Thomas Fuchs (Frankfurt), Ulrich Nissen (Copenhagen), Rudy Mack (New York) and Fouad Menassa (Vancouver), all logistics professionals that have held various senior management positions at companies such as Kuehne+Nagel, Panalpina, Schenker, UTi Worldwide, Damco, Hapag-Lloyd and UASC.

According to Hans J. Willam (57), Managing Owner of WCL Worldwide Consultants in Logistics (headquartered in Grosshansdorf/Hamburg), one additional Representative Office is planned to be opened in the South of Germany. Thus WCL will consist of 13 global offices (incl. the headquarter) by the first quarter of 2014.

Hans is particularly pleased to also see the WCL Network expanding the global expertise in view of IT for Transportation and Logistics and particularly Complex Supply Chain Solutions, being the key success factor for the strategic growth of WCL’s large and global clients.

Besides successfully expanding the recruitment activities, WCL is proud to have successfully implemented several new NVOCC’s on behalf of its clients (international freight forwarders). A complete package of documentation and operational instructions as well as comprehensive implementation plan is available and an overview of the service can be found on WCL’s new website, which launched earlier this year (www.wcl.de).

As per Hans J. Willam, it is hard to understand why many international freight forwarders have so far “not invested in creating a separate entity which will act as the principal whereas the branch offices of the forwarders clearly act as agents only!”.
