
Shape the future – Lead with responsibility
In this position, you will take full operational and commercial responsibility for a dynamic logistics branch in Southern Germany. This role requires entrepreneurial thinking, strong leadership skills, and a keen sense for customer orientation, performance, and development opportunities.

Your responsibilities
Overall operational and commercial management of the branch in line with corporate standards and internal guidelines
Functional responsibility for the departments within the branch and ensuring efficient workflows
Strategic development of the branch, including the definition and monitoring of operational and financial targets
Responsibility for achieving annual business goals and meeting group-level KPIs and quality benchmarks
Budget planning, monitoring of receivables, and active use of reporting tools such as SAP, Business Objects, and myCRM
Continuous development and optimization of internal structures and processes, including compliance with minimum standards
Implementation and monitoring of all relevant internal requirements such as HSEQ standards, sales processes, and personnel development frameworks
Support for Air & Sea corporate interfaces and collaboration across divisions
Expansion of existing customer relationships and active acquisition of new business
Direct relationship management with key customers and partners
Responsibility for the ongoing development of employees and leadership within the branch
Coordination of staff training and upskilling in cooperation with HR development
Conducting regular staff reviews and development conversations, including formal documentation
Commitment to your own professional development and active participation in cross-regional projects
Fostering team cohesion and awareness of group dynamics
Responsible use of company vehicles and assets
Your profile
Several years of management experience in the logistics or freight forwarding sector, ideally in the operational leadership of a branch or complex site
Strong business acumen, a strategic mindset, and a high level of personal responsibility
Proven experience in budget planning, financial control, and business performance management
Confident use of reporting tools and systems such as SAP, Business Objects, or similar platforms
Excellent communication skills and a respectful, people-focused leadership style
High customer orientation and a proactive approach to business development and acquisition
Competence in organizational development and in fostering team growth and talent
Willingness to take responsibility – structured, solution-oriented, and reliable
