Lutz has over 35 years of professional experience in all fields of international freight forwarding and NVOCCs (sea, air, projects and logistics).
Lutz worked for 12 years with Kuehne + Nagel, including 5 years in the USA in various management positions.
Experience:
Lutz´ professional experience has been built while serving as Managing Director, Director Oceanfreight and Branch Manager in various global operating forwarding companies specifically in the areas of:
- successful development of ocean freight traffics for specific vertical markets (garments, chemical, automotive)
- analyzing and restructuring of branch offices and divisions to achieve increases in gross and net profits
- reengineering projects including centralization of operations/documentation
- implementation of “global/core carrier policies”
Born and raised in Germany, Lutz started his career as an apprentice with Otto Longuet in Luebeck. Aside from his 12 years with KN, Lutz held Management Positions within Logwin Air + Ocean (former Birkart Logistics) Germany in Hamburg (branch manager), within GEODIS Overseas Germany in Hamburg (Managing Director) as well as with UTi Germany in Hamburg (Director Oceanfreight).
